Starchy and Low Calorie Vegetables

A healthy meal consists of a protein food, a starchy food and a fruit or a vegetable. Starchy vegetables are considered starchy foods. If you serve a starchy vegetable as part of a meal, you still need to add another vegetable from the low calorie list.
