WV Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Services in collaboration with the MoCrazy Strong Foundation and Challenged Athletes of West Virginia invite you to a public screening of #MoCrazyStrong, followed by a Q&A panel, a keynote from Jamie MoCrazy, and a social meet and greet with food and entertainment. Alive to Thrive Day is free for West Virginians with a TBI and their caregivers. The event is open to the public, and professionals may earn 1 CEU for attending (PT/PTA, OT and Social Work).
When professional skier Jamie MoCrazy suffered a serious traumatic brain injury following a ski accident, her life cartwheeled upside down. With the educated support of her family and medical caregivers, Jamie not only survived, but made a full recovery, helping revolutionize early stage TBI treatment, changing protocol surrounding family involvement, and now inspiring others.
This award-winning documentary film takes viewers through Jamie MoCrazy's story, interviewing Jamie’s ICU neuro doctor, the first responder who intubated Jamie on the mountain and a family the MoCrazy Strong team has given peer-to-peer brain injury guidance to.
