CED staff members participated in the Talking Time AAC Summer Camp hosted by Exceptional Possibilities. AAC stands for augmentative and alternative communication, and is used by individuals who are nonverbal or have difficulty communicating. WVU Medicine Children's and the IMPACT WV program have partnered to open a new follow-up clinic for infants diagnosed with neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) and their families. A multi-disciplinary team offers assessments and guidance to participants. -

New OTD graduate Taylor Grout made a workbook for Country Roads peer mentors as her capstone project. She herself was a former peer mentor, and will use her previous experiences to guide her as she joins the Country Roads staff this fall.
